How to change headlight on a 2002 Dodge Durango?

1. Remove the small Torx head screw and detach the park/turn signal light housing. (Screws are located between headlight and signal housing)



2. Remove headlight housing mounting bolts (there are 3 of them, 1 on the side and two on bottom)



3. Disconnect the electrical connector, unscrew the headlight bulb-retaining ring and withdraw the bulb.



4. Installation is the reverse of the romaval procedure, but handle the new bulb only with gloves or a clean rag.



5. If you need to adjust the headlight, there are two spring loaded adjusting screws above the headlight but below the top of the fender. Adjust accordingly.How to change headlight on a 2002 Dodge Durango?You don't have to take the whole headlight out, I just changed my 2003's yesterday.



You can reach the retaining ring on the back of the headlight, turn and take bulb with wire out, replace bulb, insert bulb and wire back into headlight and screw the retaining ring back on. It is a little awkward to reach the retaining ring, but it can be done, took me 5 minutes to do both.
