How do i change the headlight in a 1998 mercedes c280?

i know the assembly is removed from the rear of the headlight housing. Do i remove the air filter intake or remove the headlight housing? If either, how?

Thanks. How do i change the headlight in a 1998 mercedes c280?it can be done without removing anything...it's just a pain....if you choose to remove one of the two,go for the air filter housing....it's allot easier....do not mess with the head light assembly, they are a little tricky and you could scratch the car....How do i change the headlight in a 1998 mercedes c280?It really depends on the size of your hands. If you have smaller hands, getting in and accessing the bulb is relatively easy compared to if you have larger hands. Yes, you can remove the air filter intake and the top of the air filter housing if that makes it easier for you but it may not be necessary.

As noted above, do not remove the entire housing. The back of the housing is plastic and if anything breaks, you have to buy a complete assembly as the housing only is not available separately.
