How do I change the headlight on 2001 VW GTI VR6?

The main light on passenger side burned out. Have replacement. Can't tell if I need to twist old light out or just pull straight out. I don't want to break anything. (This is the main light that goes behind that paper looking cover thing.)How do I change the headlight on 2001 VW GTI VR6?u need to take it out, the whole assembly then theres a clip in the back take it out and take the plastic off as u take the plastic off u will notice the bulbs and take it out.
