It's not too complicated to change a headlamp. It's just kinda hard. I know it sounds like it's same thing, but this is why. Usually the bulb is held into place by a mount with a ring that turns to lock it in. It's just a big FREAKIN' PAIN to try and turn that plastic ring, with trying to fit your hands and fingers into the small space. If it's the driver side headlamp, sometimes you've got to take out battery so you've got room to work. It's not complicated, just a hassle.
Once you've got the ring turned, you'll see how it unlocks it. It doesn't unscrew like a pop bottle cap. Then you pull out the bulb. Think you can also remove the wiring from the part first before trying to move the locking ring which helps to not damage the wires. Once out, you merely replace the bulb like changing batteries, and then reassemble the whole thing again. It's much easier to pay the $20 to let someone else do it.
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!! If you do it yourself, you really really REALLY have to make sure that the new bulb has all your fingerprints off it. In fact, don't ever touch the bulb itself. This is why.
Bulbs are halogen which burn extremely hot, that's why they throw a brighter light down the road. But they are sooooo hot, that they can burn extremely easily. Your fingers have grease on them, part of your body's stuff. Not talking about engine or motor grease, this is a natural oil on your fingers and hands. If this gets onto the bulb, the oils from your hands will actually begin to cook, or fry, just like french fries in cookng grease, and that will cause the bulb to burn out or even maybe explode. The owners manual says something about removing a clip that holds the turn signal assembly to the headlight assembly and then the headlight assembly will come out , I don't see any clip. When replacing the driver檚 side headlamp, twist the bulb assembly one-eighth turn counterclockwise and remove it from the headlamp assembly. When replacing the passenger檚 side headlamp, twist the bulb assembly one-eighth turn clockwise and remove it from the headlamp assembly.
3. Disconnect the bulb base from the socket by lifting the plastic locking tab.

On many of the older cars you need to use a flat blade screwdriver to push the sides of the connector downward because the connectors are stuck on from years of dirt and grime buildup.
with the connector removed you can reach the retaining ring that holds the bulb in. the retainer ring is a circular ring that locks the bulb in place. to release the bulb you turn the retaining ring counter-clockwise (when looking at the ring from the engine). The ring should turn between 1/8 and 1/4 turn before the bulb will pull out. The bulb comes out straight rearward.

We removed the platic covering and two screws that looked like it would release the headlight but it it is still connected somehow.
